Jenkintown Middle/High School 20th best in PA in new U.S. News & World Report ranking

Jenkintown Middle/High School has been ranked 20th within Pennsylvania’s public high schools in the U.S. News & World Report‘s 2024 Best U.S. High Schools in America report.

The list, which was released on Tuesday, April 23, includes data on nearly 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college. 

From Jenkintown’s listing:

Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Jenkintown Middle/High School is 45%. The total minority enrollment is 27%, and 22% of students are economically disadvantaged. Jenkintown Middle/High School is the only high school in the Jenkintown School District.

The report also said that the school is ranked #792 in the National Rankings and #16 in Philadelphia, PA Metro Area High Schools.

Among public high schools in Pennsylvania. Lower Moreland High School came in at #29, Abington High School at #123 in Pennsylvania, Cheltenham High School at #140, and Upper Moreland High School at #283.
