Several Jenkintown High School music students bring home hardware from WorldStrides Adjudication Festival in Washington, D.C.

Students from the Jenkintown High School Music Department performed at the WorldStrides Adjudication Festival in Washington, D.C. over the weekend and came away with hardware.

The following groups received awards at the festival:

  • The BelleTones: Gold
  • Jenkintown Concert Choir: Silver
  • Jenkintown Wind-Ensemble: Silver
  • Just the Guys: Silver
  • Jenkintown Jazz Ensemble: Silver

Celia DeFazio won the Maestro Award, which goes to a vocalist for their outstanding performance in “The Longest Time” by Billy Joel.

Audrey Loomis won The WorldStrides Ovation Award, which goes to a student for “outstanding effort, excellence in music, and dedication to one’s peers and the community,” the district said.

“All music ensembles performed beautifully and were exemplary guests while in D.C.,” the district said in a post.
