Rockledge Police Chief Gallagher announces resignation, borough now searching for new Chief

Rockledge Borough Police Chief Gallagher, who came to Rockledge from Narberth in August 2022, has announced his resignation.

According to Borough Council President Frank Enderle, Gallagher’s future endeavors are uncertain but he will be missed.

“His extensive background and managerial level experience in community policing enabled the Borough to continue with its commitment to new ideas and professionalism. During his tenure, he has provided valuable new ideas and continued many programs previously implemented that have and will continue to benefit the Rockledge community,” Enderle said.

Enderle noted that Chief Gallagher increased bus stop patrols, police visibility, and “had an open-door policy to Rockledge residents, making sure that each of them is heard.”

The borough will begin locating and appointing a new Chief, Enderle said.
