Welcome Home Cafe in Jenkintown will host a visit from America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow on May 8 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owner Stephanie Taylor about the restaurant’s special place in the community.
Taylor has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including a degree from the Restaurant School at Walnut Hills College. She operated a catering business in Los Angeles while also acting as Food Service Director for a statewide agency, and has catered events for everything from television networks, Hollywood bigwigs and award shows like the Golden Globes and Academy Awards.
Taylor moved back to her hometown of Philadelphia in 2012 and worked at popular restaurants as Victoria’s Kitchen & Catering and Booker’s Restaurant & Bar.
She opened Welcome Home Cafe in 2021 and has been serving scratch-made all-day breakfast and lunch options ever since. Popular menu items that may be featured on the episode include the shrimp and grits and the chicken and waffles.
The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date, according to a press release. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website.
