Huntingdon Valley Fire Company assists with three-vehicle rescue at Philmont/Byberry intersection

The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company announced that crews were dispatched at 3:45pm today for an accident rescue at Philmont Avenue and Byberry Road involving three vehicles.

A driver was rescued by the Philadelphia Fire Department and transported to a nearby hospital. Huntingdon Valley crews provided hazard mitigation and secured the second vehicle, officials said. Medic 355 treated and assessed a mother and her child who were involved in a second vehicle.

Units on scene included Squad 8, Squad 11, Bucks Rescue 4, Medic 355, Philadelphia Engine 58, Ladder 34, Medic 54.

Assistance also came from the Lower Moreland Police Department, the Bryn Athyn Police Department, the Philadelphia Police Department, along with 8 and 11 Fire Police, officials said.
