Wyndmoor’s Nicole Cashman to help lead Philly’s 250th anniversary of American independence

Nicole Cashman, a Wyndmoor resident and a name in the public relations industry, has been selected as Philadelphia Mayor-elect Cherelle Parker’s vice chair of the 2026 transition committee.

She was recently featured by 6ABC about her vision for Philadelphia.

“Twenty-three years ago, I sat here and I thought Philadelphia needs some excitement,” Cashman said. “It needs a focus on all of the things that make us unique: the dining, the emerging hotels, the arts and culture, some of our really amazing nonprofits, fashion, beauty, retail. Philadelphia was under-hyped, under-promoted, under-appreciated.”

The founder of CEO of Cashman & Associates, a lifestyle marketing firm run by women, will play a leading role in 2026’s year-long celebration to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.
