Wyndmoor woman found dead in bedroom, police launch homicide investigation

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Springfield Township Police Chief Michael E. Pitkow announced today an investigation into a homicide that occurred in the Wyndmoor section of Springfield Township.

The victim has been identified as 57-year-old Elizabeth Shea of Wyndmoor.

At approximately 7:30am on Wednesday, Springfield Township Police responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Cromwell Lane for a requested wellness check. They arrived to find the victim deceased in the home’s master bedroom.

A joint investigation into the homicide has been launched by Montgomery County Detectives and Springfield Township Police. Anyone with information about the murder is asked to contact Montgomery County Detectives at 610-226-5553 or Springfield Township Police at 215-836-1601.

An autopsy will be performed tomorrow by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, officials said.
