The Springfield Township Police Department announced that a Wyndmoor home in the 8100 block of Ardmore Avenue was burglarized on Sunday, August 13.
According to their announcement, the burglars gained entry from a set of keys found in an unlocked vehicle parked on the roadway. A purse and wallet were among the items stolen from the home in addition to the homeowner’s vehicle.
An unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the in the 500 block of Cresheim Valley Road was also entered, and cash, a credit card, and sunglasses were stolen.
The Department is encouraging residents to consider installing motion-detector lights, camera coverage, and an alarm system. Residents may also notify police when going on vacation so that officers can conduct property checks at reported vacant homes.
