Wyncote native Michael Carroll receives long-awaited scholarship offer from Penn State, among others

Former La Salle College High School football standout Michael Carroll of Glenside has been getting looks, attention, and now scholarship offers from high-profile D1 programs.

In September 2022, Blue White Illustrated, Penn State’s fan site and magazine, reported that Carroll was impressed with what he saw during a campus visit.

Their website has listed Carroll under the Other Notable Penn State Targets column, and on Saturday, 247sports.com reported that Carroll has received an offer from the program after attending a White Out camp.

“To finally get that offer after camping for three years, it just meant so much,” he said.

Carroll’s father, Michael Sr., played for the Nittany Lions in the 1990s.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound rising junior now has an offer from Michigan State University as well, according to 247sports.com.
