Wyncote couple, seasoned jazz artists, feat. by The Inquirer for their professional and romantic partnership

Vocalist Michelle Lordi and bassist Matthew Parrish, Cheltenham Township residents and seasoned artists in the Philly jazz scene, were featured by The Philadelphia Inquirer for their overlapping professional and romantic partnership.

The pair first met onstage in 2014, The Inquirer said. Lordi’s weekly jam sessions at Vintage Bar and Grill in Abington Township were later joined by Parrish in the 2010s, and together they released an album titled “Live at Dirty Dog” in July. You can read more about the album here.

They also share a blended family of six children ranging from 8 to 26, half of whom live in their Wyncote home. Both are faculty members and ensemble directors at Princeton University, The Inquirer said.
