Willow Grove man arrested for theft from a Wegman’s in Warrington

Marvin Delacruz Cristobal, 37, of Willow Grove, was stopped by Abington Township Police and taken into custody on Thursday, August 6.

According to a police report released on Tuesday, Warrington Township officers responded to the Wegmans at 1405 Main Street for a report of a retail theft. Loss prevention told officials that a male, later identified as Cristobal, selected several high-priced items, including ribeye steak and crab cakes, and concealed the merchandise inside a reusable bag.

Cristobal allegedly exited the store while failing to pay for the $162.97 worth of merchandise. He then fled the area before officers arrived, police said.

Loss prevention provided police with a description of Cristobal and his vehicle, which assisted investigators in identifying him.

A criminal complaint was subsequently filed at District Court, police said.
