Willow Grove Chen Taichi, a martial arts school which offers online and in-person sessions, will officially open for business on Saturday, August 31.

Their location is Crestmont Park (2595 Rubicam Avenue) in Abington Township.

Owner Benjamin Wright, a resident of Abington for the past 15 years, is originally from Finland and moved to the U.S. about 20 years ago.

“I’m just starting to offer public classes in the area. I’ve been doing taichi for about 10 years and I feel like it’d be a great thing to offer to the community.”

One-hour lessons can be held at a location of your choice or over Zoom via Wright’s Calendly page.

“I’m looking at Crestmont, Lukens, and maybe Veterans Memorial Parks as our sites,” Wright said. “I’m hoping to provide a fun outdoors activity that’s really healthy, good for the joints, especially the hips and knees, and can help us to age gracefully.”
