Gerry Whelan of Roxborough was featured by 6ABC for playing pickleball at the OPUS Pickleball Club in Wyndmoor after losing the ability to stand and walk without a cane.

According to their coverage, Whelan thought his days on the court were over until he found out about wheelchair pickleball.

OPUS Pickleball Club is located at 900 E. Mermaid Lane (Springfield Township). They have six indoor courts and two indoor singles courts, according to their website.
