Multiple athletes from Cheltenham, Upper Moreland compete at state Track & Field Championships

In addition to Abington sprinter Luke Coleman’s double gold performance, multiple athletes from Upper Moreland and Cheltenham high schools finished well at the PIAA Track & Field Championships at Shippensburg University last weekend.

From Upper Moreland, Colin Graham finished fourth in the boys high jump with a 6’5″ clearance, and Brooke Lobban finished eighth and twelfth in the girls triple jump and long jump with a 37-7.75 and 17-3.75 finish, respectively.

From Cheltenham, the girls 4x100M relay team (Kendall Nelson, Michelle Korsah, Mariah Winfield, Kira Murray) finished fourth with a time of 47.69. The 4x400M relay team (Liana Williams, Murray, Korsah and Eyota Bey) finished fifth with a time of 3:51.45.

The boys 4x400M relay team (Jordan Sowell, Ke’Nai Massiah, Traeon Bradsher, Nathan Hoffman) took fourth with a time of 3:19.81.

Individually, Korsah took fifth in the 100M hurdles (14.79) and Murray took seventh (12.37) and Winfield took eighth (12.50) in the 100M finals.,

Sowell finished seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 44-9.5. In all, 15 CHS team members qualified for the state championship meet.
