The Upper Moreland Township School District provided an update today regarding the reported suspicious activity near the Middle School on March 19.
According to last week’s notice, the threat came from a student’s social media account and “involved bringing a weapon to school.”
According to assistant superintendent Dr. Lawrence Cannon, Upper Moreland police conducted an investigation and concluded that there is no danger to the community “and the incident has been confirmed not to be a child-luring situation.”
“UMPD has made contact with the individual associated with the vehicle and determined that this was not an attempt to lure students,” the post said. “The investigation remains active as police continue to follow up with all parties involved.”
