Upper Moreland police share details of 12 recent arrests

The Upper Moreland Police Department has shared the details of the following arrests:

Michael Bowen (pictured above)

Bowen, 53, of Willow Grove was arrested on August 1 at 10:34am for Defiant Trespass.

Bowen returned to a 220 Mineral Avenue in Willow Grove after he had been officially trespassed by police, the department said.

He was arrested in February for assaulting and threatening his parents with a hammer and taunting a police K-9, and in March for causing a car accident while Driving Under the Influence on a bicycle.

Jefferson Mayorga

Mayorga, 32, of Willow Grove was arrested on September 2 at 11:01pm for DUI-General Impairment and Drivers Required to be Licensed.

During a traffic stop at York and Newington Roads in Hatboro, Mayorga was found to be operating a motor vehicle while impaired, police said.

Axandre Blaise

Blaise, 46, of Philadelphia was arrested on August 25 at 1:00am for Theft of Mislaid Property.

Blaise, an Uber driver, refused to return an iPhone that was mistakenly left behind in his vehicle by a patron. When contacted by the victim, Blaise demanded money in order to return the phone, police said. 

Max Lester

Lester, 29 of Glenside was arrested on August 30 at 10:20pm for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers received a call of an unconscious male in a running vehicle at 2595 Maryland Road in Willow Grove. Lester was located and while rendering aid, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. 

Irwin Riley

Riley, 40, of Trenton was arrested on August 30 at 2:33am for Theft of Secondary Metal, Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property.

Riley is accused of taking three AC condensers and HVAC equipment from a business at Wyandotte Road in Willow Grove without permission. The total value of the theft is $1600, police said.  

Tyler Burns

Burns, 29, of Hatboro was arrested on August 12 at 10:50am for Retail Theft.

Burns is accused of stealing $438 worth of Red Bull and Powerade from the Giant at 315 York Road in Willow Grove on three separate occasions. 

Shana Hamson

Hamson, 26, of Abington was arrested on September 4 at 12:52am for Driving Under the Influence. During a traffic stop at Summit Avenue and Easton Road in Willow Grove, Hamson was found to be operating a motor vehicle while impaired, police said. 

Dirul Muhammad

Muhammad, 43, of Philadelphia was arrested on August 11 at 11:40am for Retail Theft.

Muhammad is accused of stealing two Samsung flatscreen televisions valued at $2400 from the Walmart at 2101 Blair Mill Road in Willow Grove.

Philip Massaquoi

Massaquoi, 35, of Philadelphia was arrested on August 9 at 1:45pm for Defiant Trespass.

Massaquoi is accused of returning to his former place of employment at 1957 Pioneer Road in Huntingdon Valley after he was told by management he was not allowed on the property, police said. 

Julie Beal

Beal, 32, of Willow Grove was arrested On July 10 at 2:06am for DUI Combination Alcohol/Drugs, DUI Schedule II Controlled Substance, DUI-.16% or Higher and General Impairment – DUI.

During a traffic stop at 1100 York Road in Willow Grove, Beal was found to impaired while operating a motor vehicle, police said. 

Keith Beidler

Beidler, 69, of Willow Grove was arrested on August 7 at 3:36pm for Driving Under the Influence and DUI-.16% or Higher.

After responding to a vehicle accident from which one of the drivers had fled, officers located the striking vehicle at 1025 Easton Road in Willow Grove and found Beidler to be the operator. He was found to be impaired and taken into custody, police said. 

Alyssa Smink

Smink, 24, of Philadelphia was arrested on July 23 at 2:02am for four counts of Driving Under the Influence.

During a traffic stop at 2400 County Line Road in Hatboro, Smink was found to be operating a motor vehicle while impaired, police said.
