Upper Moreland man pleads guilty to downloading child porn, awaits sentencing

Jordan Alexander Medina, 21, of the 2500 block of Veser Lane in the Willow Grove section of Upper Moreland Township, pleaded guilty to felony charges of possession of child pornography, criminal use of a communication facility, and possessing an instrument of crime, Mainline Media News reported.

According to the article, Medina claimed he was “curious and stupid” for downloading images of child pornography to his cellphone in June 2022. He will have to report his address to state police for 15 years to comply with the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act, previously known as Megan’s Law, and potentially faces several years in prison on the charges.

An investigation began when Montgomery County detectives received a “CyberTip” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding images of child pornography being uploaded to a cellphone number linked to Medina. A forensic review of the phone revealed approximately 20 images/videos of child sex abuse material.

According to a detective, the images/videos contained female children around the age of 10 years old and younger in various states of nudity, many of whom were performing prohibited sexual acts.
