Mohammed Al Jumaili, 29, of the 3500 block of West Moreland Road in Upper Moreland Township, was convicted of two counts each of terroristic threats, simple assault and reckless endangerment for a July 13, 2022, “road rage” incident, The Reporter said.
Al Jumaili pulled out a handgun and terrorized a woman and her 18-year-old daughter who were in another vehicle at Welsh and Twining roads in Willow Grove, according to The Reporter.
The victim told police a blue SUV drove alongside of her vehicle as she was traveling in the right lane. The woman said the driver became angry when she was unable to let him pull in front of her and called her a derogatory name, according to the arrest affidavit.
After displaying a gun, the suspect fled and was later tracked down by officers. Al Jumaili admitted to owing a firearm and voluntarily retrieved and gave a Colt .45-caliber pistol to police, The Reporter said.
Al Jumaili claimed he was cut off by a silver sedan and that its occupants began “flipping” him off with their hands out the window.
