Upper Dublin receives $35K grant to develop portion of Twining Valley Park

Upper Dublin Township announced that it has been awarded a Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources C2P2 grant for Twining Valley Park in Dresher.

According to the announcement, the grant includes $35,000 to develop a master plan for the upper plateau of the former golf course.

“Currently a stone parking lot and grassy area (adjacent to the bike playground), the master site development will enable the Township to solicit public input, design, plan phased construction and determine estimated implementation expenses – all important information to have when applying for future grants to assist with funding construction,” the township said in a post.

Township officials noted that no firm plans had been made, though proposed amenitiesinclude a pavilion with restrooms; additional native plants; accessible, nature-themed playground; entry plaza; fitness stations; social seating areas; pump track; outdoor games; paved parking lot; construction of new and connections to existing internal park sidewalk & trail; and a pathway connecting the upper plateau to the Twining Road tunnel across the future parking lot.

To date, the township has received over $1,250,000 in local, county and state grant funds. In 2025, construction began for a bike playground, which was funded by grants provided by Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Montgomery County Planning Commission, and Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
