This is an update to the earlier article about the armed robbery that occurred at the Wawa located at 816 Old York Road at 3:30 a.m. on July 13th

The second notice from the Abington Township Police Department included photos from the robbery. The suspects are three black males all of who wore face masks and head coverings. They were armed with semi-automatic handguns, including one which appeared to have an extended high-capacity magazine.

According to the notice, one of the suspects ordered an employee to open the cash register and placed his gun to the victim’s head. After robbing the store, the men fled the area. There were no injuries and there is no current threat to the community.
