Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center in Jenkintown seeking liquor license for future events, Abington to hold hearing on August 10

The Abington Township Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 10 at 7:30pm for a liquor license transfer application on behalf of the Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center, Inc.

“We have some events coming up and we’ll be allowed to serve them legally instead of always applying for an individual license,” the Center’s executive director, Volodymyr Kravtsov, said. “We’ll only sell to members. This will hopefully help our revenue a bit.”

The hearing will receive comments and recommendations from area residents. The license is being transferred from West Pottsgrove Township to 700 N. Cedar Road, Jenkintown.
