Tous Les Jours, a French-Asian-inspired bakery/cafe, is expected to open in Elkins Park’s Yorktown Plaza sometime this summer.

“We are estimated to begin construction by February but we are currently awaiting the permits.
The estimated end dates for construction would be somewhere near June,” franchisee Bowen Zheng said.

With more than 1,650 stores worldwide, Bowen felt that Elkins Park’s climate was ripe for the picking.

“Elkins Park was chosen due to its great mixture of different American communities that have
already been exposed to and come to love Asian bakeries and cuisines,” he said. “We hope to increase foot traffic to Yorktown Plaza and provide local residents and workers another option for breakfast during the morning commute.”

The franchise is looking to hire 15-20 employees ranging from bakers, cake decorators, and other back-of-the-house and front-of-the-house guest service members.
