Three Cheltenham School District students are performing in the Academy of Music’s “Nutcracker” now through December 30.

Cedarbrook students Melecio Amaro and Xavier Bigos Perez, and his brother, Cheltenham Elementary’s Damian Bigos Perez, are on the bill. All three boys belong to Jenkintown’s Metropolitan Ballet Academy’s Boy’s Program.

Amaro, performing in his third “Nutcracker,” plays the role of Party Boy and has been on stage for 15 shows. Xavier Bigos Perez is performing in his first “Nutcracker,” and plays the role of a mouse in a battle scene in 11 shows. Damian Bigos Perez, now in his second “Nutcracker,” plays a soldier in the same battle scene for 10 performances.
