The Tookany Valley Chronicles: Pet Adoption Edition – Lucci

“Lucci is seeking a new home,” according to Ms. Katie Nagy, Humane Educator at the Montgomery County SPCA.

According to Ms. Nagy, Lucci is described in his SPCA file as a “male Staffordshire Terrier Mix who was surrendered to the shelter by his owner in late October.  The owner claimed he was hit by a car and injured his leg.  It is more likely that the lameness in his leg is actually a birth defect or an older, untreated injury.  Due to the severity of the issue his leg had to be removed. ”

“He is still a puppy and he has adjusted very well to the missing limb.  In fact, Lucci is just as energetic with his three legs as any four-footed pet out there,” his SPCA file continued.

“Lucci now is looking to find a loving permanent home,” stated Ms. Nagy.  “Please contact the Montgomery County SPCA Abington location for more details and to request an application to adopt Lucci.”
