The Schoolhouse in Flourtown, located at 15 W Wissahickon Avenue in Springfield Township, is expected to close in August due to financial concerns.

The Schoolhouse in Flourtown will discontinue operations on August 21, 2025, and is no longer accepting new enrollments.
NBC10 reported that ownership said the 75-acre site is a financial burden. The school, which opened 40 years ago, is part of a larger human services campus which includes a day care and a preschool. Officials said that there is no word on what will happen to the land.
Impacted programs include:
- Community homes
- Supervised independent living
- Truancy
- Rapid service response initiative
- Integrated case management
- The Schoolhouse
