The Royal to host ‘Rock for Doc: Celebrating the life & music of Chris Dougherty’ on May 18

The Royal Music & Arts Center in Glenside will host “Rock for Doc: Celebrating the life & music of Chris Dougherty” on Saturday, May 18 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm.

The evening’s net proceeds will go towards the family of Chris Dougherty, the photographer from Oreland who was killed in 6ABC’s Chopper 6 when it crashed in Washington Township, New Jersey in December.

The show is now sold out, but you can contribute to the cause through purchasing a song written by Dougherty, “Candy Cane Lane,” recorded by Tommy Conwell of the Philly-based band “Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers”.

To purchase and download the track, you can click here. Purchasers are able to set their own price.

You can also donate to an earlier fundraiser for the Doughertys which launched in late December. $44,545.09 has been raised at the time of this writing.
