The Lore Café, a new coffee shop in Jenkintown, to host grand opening on March 28

The Lore Café, a new coffee shop at 749 Yorkway Place in Jenkintown (adjacent to Keep Easy Meadery), is hosting a grand opening on Saturday, March 28 at 9:00am.

The shop is co-owned by Oleksandr and Iryna Studenet, Ukraine natives who currently live in Northeast Philadelphia.

“Opening a coffee shop in the United States has been Oleksandr’s long-standing dream, as he previously ran a similar business in Ukraine. We’d like to do the best we can for Jenkintown by offering good coffee and tasty pastries,” Iryna said, noting that the first 100 customers will receive gifts. One of those lucky customers will receive 30 days of free coffee.

The Lore Café will offer various hot and cold drinks including coffee blends, cappuccinos and Matchas, as well as sweet and savory pastries. Drinks for kids, including babyccino and hot chocolate, are on the menu as well.

Iryna said she found the location during a walk through Jenkintown.

“We spent a considerable amount of time searching for the perfect location. When I first saw this space, I immediately told Oleksandr that he had to come and see it. And when he did, he said right away, ‘Yes, this is exactly the place where we want to bring joy to people,'” she said. “We have put a great deal of effort and care into creating this space, and we truly hope that everyone will enjoy it.”
