Alex Nalbandian, owner of The Iron Oven Restaurant & Bar of Southampton, announced today that he is in the process of buying the former Ross & Co. property at 58 S York Road in Hatboro.
Ross & Co. closed its doors in June 2025 after just over a year in operation. It was Bernie’s Hatboro prior.

Ownership said a full bakery will be located in the downstairs. Construction updates, hiring information, menu previews, and more will be shared throughout the summer.
From The Iron Oven’s announcement:
I’ve heard a lot about the parking concerns, and it’s something we’ve spent a lot of time planning for. The town will soon have new signs directing visitors to the municipal lots, making them much easier to find. We also have preliminary plans to have complimentary optional valet with text when ready service so your car will be ready by the time you pay the bill and walk outside. We’ll also have parking maps on our website and outside the restaurant. There are a lot of parking options in Hatboro, and I’m confident we’ll make it work. We’ll share even more details as we get closer to opening.
Our regular menu will always be identical at every location we have. However, our specials menu and drink menu (besides our four core drinks) will be different at every location. You’ll always be able to get your Iron Oven favorites, but now each location will have something unique as well.
From The Iron Oven’s “About Us” page:
In 1983 Samuel Nalbandian (my father) opened Rising Sun Pizza in Northeast Philadelphia. I grew up learning all about the pizzeria and eventually took over to relieve my parents from the long hours. I quickly enjoyed bossing everyone around (just joking), and learned valuable lessons while running my father’s business. In April 2018, I decided to take a chance, took what I learned and open up The Iron Oven!
I am very excited to serve my home area of Southampton. I have lived in Huntingdon Valley my whole life, graduated high school from Lower Moreland High School and also graduated college from Penn State Abington. I take pride in coming from this area and would not have wanted to start my journey anywhere but here.
The Iron Oven is all about quality, comfort and creating a wonderful night for every customer who walks through my door. I strive to offer made from scratch food, top of the line service and a warm comfortable environment. The Iron Oven was created on the idea of a great experience all around and I am pleased to finally realize this idea with all of you.
