The Highland Restaurant and Bar in Glenside is officially open for business.
“We’re having a soft opening with a limited menu over the weekend,” owner Dan Katz said. “We’ll be open until you close us down. The bar will be happening. We’ll show the Phillies and Eagles games Sunday night.”
The Highland’s kitchen will close at 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday and at 9:00pm on Sunday.
Dan and his wife, Chelsea—who also own West Ave Grille and Pizza Wheel in Jenkintown—kicked off their new endeavor with an invite-only event at 391 Highland Avenue on Tuesday, October 17.
“The bar will be open all night. We’ll have the fire pits going. No takeout for now. We’re just trying to get our feet wet. Once we have our grand opening, we’ll have everything ready to go,” he said.
“People are excited,” he said. For Dan’s official announcement on Instagram, you can click here.
