The Flats in Jenkintown near completion

The Galman Group has been busy over the last year, and their latest project is almost complete.

The Jenkintown-based property and management company is bringing luxury living in their own backyard with The Flats at Jenkintown, a 104-unit, 150,000-square-foot apartment community that broke ground in November 2021.

Located at 1300 Greenwood Avenue within the mixed-use, walkable village called The Pavilion Town Center, The Flats is undergoing final touches to its interior and exterior.

The Galman Group will begin welcoming its first residents in early 2023, and by next fall, the site is expected to be at full capacity.

“This development will diversify the region’s existing housing stock, create lasting support for the Old York Road commercial corridor and most importantly, establish a dynamic and thriving hub that links Abington and Jenkintown and serves as a gateway to Montgomery County,” said Andrew Claire, The Galman Group’s Vice President of Acquisitions.

The Flats has plenty of options for individuals and families, including studios, one-bedroom, one-bedroom den, two-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom townhomes.

The Galman Group is pre-leasing through The Flats website, which includes floor plans and a brief video showcasing apartment features.

Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, a conference room, a media/game room, a resident lounge with gourmet kitchen and bar to host events, a secured package room, an outdoor lounge with raised deck with firepits and grilling station, and covered parking with EV charging stations. The pet-friendly complex also offers two large dog parks.

Residents will also have access to Jenkintown’s offerings, including restaurants, shopping, parks, as well the convenience of having a commercial site with a variety of businesses and amenities, Claire said.

“We want to bring even more convenience and possibilities to the neighborhood we have served for so many years,” he said.

The heart of the Town Center is The Pavilion, a commercial property with 330,000 square feet of medical and office space alongside locally owned retailers like Nicole Bridal, Daily Grind, Diane Glynn Jewelry, Stupp Furs, L’Etoile and Heaven Spa, will be the heart of the new Town Center.

“We are putting everything in place for The Flats to be a thoughtful, long-term investment for the Jenkintown and Abington communities,” Claire said. “It’s an exciting time for us and the communities we serve.”
