Thanksgiving Basket Project

Do you know of someone in need who would enjoy receiving a Thanksgiving Basket?

The Cheltenham School District announced that several schools in Cheltenham Township are collecting goods for Glenside Rotary Club’s Thanksgiving Basket Project.

“Student Services is thankful that Glenside, Wyncote, Cheltenham, Myers, and Elkins Park Schools are collecting food items for the annual Glenside Rotary Club’s Thanksgiving Basket project,” according to a statement issued by the Cheltenham School District.  “Schools are collecting items such as canned cranberries, canned vegetables, boxed stuffing, boxed cornbread mix, boxed potatoes and canned gravy.  Rotary Club will deliver the assembled baskets on Monday, November 19th, to 75 families in our community to hopefully provide a nicer Thanksgiving dinner.”

The statement included ways you can help someone in need receive one of these Thanksgiving Baskets:  “If you or someone you know are in need of a Thanksgiving Basket, please contact Home and School Social Workers Jen Mosher (215-881-6331) or Jessica Keene (215-517-1344).”
