Take 5 Oil Change is expected to open for business in Jenkintown in roughly two weeks.

The business will inherit the former Glanzmann Subaru’s service center at 101 York Road.

“They decided to use the Glanzmann building as is and it’s going to look really nice. They received a waiver of land development,” Borough Manager George Locke said. “They’re ready to open and their signs are approved.”

“They’ve been great. They took all of our suggestions,” Locke said. “They’re big down south, and I think this is one of their first ventures up north. We’re happy to see them come in. The mayor said he’ll get the police cruiser’s oil changed there once they’re open.”

The business is now hiring. From a manager’s Facebook post:

I would like to announce that we are now beginning the hiring process at Take 5 Oil Change of Jenkintown. Shop 1772 is looking for enthusiastic, career driven, and coachable individuals who want to be developed into leaders.
