Take 5 Oil Change in Jenkintown has announced plans for a grand opening on Thursday, August 10 at the former Glanzmann Subaru’s service center at 101 York Road.

The opening will kick off with an unofficial first day of business on August 7.

“We’ll take that week to get the kinks out,” owner Jeronimo Vasquez said. “We’re hoping for an appearance by Jenkintown’s mayor on Thursday. We’ll be changing the oil of a Borough police car.”

The grand opening will include $20 off all oil changes and one to two vendors giving away free food to customers. If you know of a food truck that would be interested in the August 7 event, you can reach out to Vasquez’s Facebook account.

“We do more than just change oil,” Vasquez said. “We also top off all fluids, check tire pressure, and wash your windshield for you. I want us to be involved in the community.”
