Taco Kidz food truck launches at The Highland Restaurant & Bar in Glenside | K to Z seeking management

Taco Kidz, a new taco-centric food truck, is now available on the grounds of The Highland Restaurant & Bar in Glenside from 12:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday through Thursday.

According to The Highland’s co-owner Dan Katz, the truck’s first few days in business have been a success.

“All of the food is made from scratch, from our sauces to the guacamole. We have an array of fish, meat, and vegetarian options. Everything’s gluten free except from the burrito wrap,” Katz said. “Tomorrow is an Eagles’ game. Taco Kidz is a great opportunity for football parties.”

The food truck is available for private events, birthday parties, weddings, dinners, lunches, and business affairs.

“We have a whole setup with turf and firepits and seating. We’re also on Ubereats and Doordash, and we offer online ordering which will be handy for the colder months,” he said.

One year ago today, The Highland held its soft opening. Katz said he expects to host an anniversary party sometime in November. An announcement is coming soon.

“The first year has been great. We love our customers, and everyone’s happy. It’s a fun place to be at,” he said. “I’ve enjoyed meeting all new people and now getting to know our regulars.”

Katz’s K to Z Collective, which encompasses The Highland, Pizza Wheel, and West Ave Grille in Jenkintown, is seeking management. To apply, you can email Dan.ktozcollective@gmail.com.

“We want people who want to work and grow with our company,” Katz said.
