Sweet Baby’s Tea Room, located at 109 N. York Road in Hatboro, is expecting to be open for business this month.

“I’m almost there. I have an inspection tomorrow and then I’m hoping to be ready,” owner Maryanne Cirigliano, a Rockledge resident, told Glenside Local. “I always wanted to have a place where I can entertain a community. It’s been a passion since I was a little girl. Tea is my drink of choice. My granddaughter is going to work with me, and maybe take over at some point.”

Cirigliano plans to offer scones, sandwiches, desserts, and special events.

“I have transformed the space beyond my initial imagination. I’ve been collecting things, including teapots, for years, so I have a lot of vintage wares and table covers. It has a nice feel about it. It’s a warm place. I hope to be able to seat 25 people,” she said.
