A SWAT team with the Philadelphia Police Department was sent to the 7900 block of Oxford Avenue in Fox Chase for reports of a man with a weapon early Monday morning, 6ABC reported.

According to their coverage, the man had a handgun and was refusing to get off a Route 18 SEPTA bus. He allegedly told the bus driver that he had just killed two people, which may or may not be connected to two women who were found shot in the head this morning in East Mount Airy.

The police department said its officers declared a barricade situation on board the SEPTA bus around 5:49am. The Philadelphia Police Department and the Philadelphia Fire Department are investigating.
