Suzanne Henkels Leaming Bagwell, former owner of Suzanne’s Grateful Deli and Suzanne’s Driving & Concierge Service in Glenside/Wyndmoor, passed away peacefully on March 17. She was 63.

Bagwell attended Our Mother of Consolation School and Raven Hill Academy in Philadelphia, according to her obituary.

“Regardless of where or when she was working, Suzanne never stopped traveling,” her obituary said. “The unifying theme in her relationship with every person she knew was that Suzanne was always the life of the party.”

Suzanne’s Grateful Deli was located at 918 E. Willow Grove Avenue and permanently closed in 2014. It was known for its house-roasted turkey and roast beef, as well as fresh salads made daily (including tuna, chicken, egg, potato, and pasta).
