Suspect wanted for commercial burglaries in Elkins Park and Philadelphia has been arrested

Marcus Neto, 19, who authorities believe was behind the burglaries at Goat House Creamery and Melrose Service Center in Elkins Park in March, has been arrested, NBC10 reported.

Cheltenham Township officials said they were looking for Neto for six weeks and issued an arrest warrant. He is also believed to have been involved in a string of commercial burglaries in Northeast and North Philadelphia between February 15 and May 26, NBC10 said.

On Saturday, May 31, NBC10 reported that Neto has one previous arrest in Philadelphia, is deaf, and can only speak Portuguese sign language.

According to a spokesperson with the Philadelphia Police Department, a second suspect is still wanted for his involvement in the robberies that happened in Northeast Philadelphia. He was described by police as a medium-built man with facial hair who was wearing a puffy coat and light-colored pants.
