The Cheltenham Township Police Department announced today that two attempted auto thefts took place on the 300 and 400 blocks of Jefferson Avenue between 3:00am and 4:00am on Sunday, March 23.

An unoccupied and stolen Kia was recovered in the 100 block of Yew Road on the same date, police said, adding that the incidents are believed to be related.

Police ask anyone with cameras on their homes to contact Cheltenham Police detectives at 215-885-1600 ext. 499 with any helpful information.
