Saint Luke’s Home and School will host the Joe Conklin Comedy Show on April 27 from 6:30pm to 10:00pm at Father Fitzpatrick Hall, St. Luke Church, 2316 Fairhill Ave, Glenside.
A well known Philadelphia sports platformer and a product of Philly’s Catholic school system, Joe will be joined by fellow comedians Jim Daly and Brendan Donegan. Guests can expect a good deal of local humor, impressions, sports, and, of course, plenty of laughs about the Catholic school experience.
“I do a lot of Catholic school performing, usually Beef & Beer fundraisers for CYO. Catholic school people and I have a kinship. There’s a connection there,” Joe said.
When he’s not on stage, Joe can be found entertaining audiences through the Morning Show at WIP sports radio.
Jim Daly is a longtime comedy veteran, he worked at the Comedy Factory Outlet in the 1980’s. During the holidays, Jim plays a real life Santa Claus. He’s won many competitions for his versatile white beard. Jim works with many charitable organizations and he’s the official Santa of the Flyers.
The show is part of a fundraiser. Tickets are $55 and include a dinner buffet, wine, soda. and beer courtesy of The Ways Brewery. Attendees must be 21 and over.
