Springfield Township is looking to fill the position of Code Enforcement Officer/Fire Marshal.

This is an exempt position that reports directly to the Township Manager and is responsible for enforcing property maintenance, zoning and fire codes/ordinances. The employee also serves as the staff liaison to the local Environmental Advisory Commission and Emergency Services Board.
The Township is seeking a self-motivated individual who can communicate effectively, plan and prioritize multiple projects, work collaboratively, solve complex problems, act in accordance with regulatory standards, and demonstrate a high level of public service. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of education at the college level (Bachelors Preferred), 10 years of experience in active fire training and suppression, Certified Fire Investigator Certificate and NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800. Candidate shall also be required to obtain PA UCC Certification within six months of employment.
