Six Springfield Township police officers were recognized for their outstanding achievements during the township’s Board of Commissioners meeting on Wednesday, April 8.

Detective Stephen Craig received two Commendations of Merit for his role in the investigation regarding corruption of a minor and child pornography in October 2022 and for his role in the investigation regarding involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in March 2025.

Officer Younes Boujida received a Commendatory Letter for his role in the investigation of theft by deception that occurred in a nursing home in June 2025.

Officer T. Sweeney received a Commendatory Letter for his role in an access device fraud (fraudulent check) case that involved a firearm not to be carried without a license in August 2025.

Officers Brian Makowski and Ryan Brown received a Life-saving commendation for their efforts during a cardiac arrest that occurred in October 2025.

Corporal Calvin Wiley received a Highway Safety Award for overall traffic, DUI, and parking enforcement.
