The Springfield Township Police Department recently received their initial accreditation certification from the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission.
According to the Department, the Accreditation Program was introduced by the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association in 2001.
“Since then, of the 1,150 law enforcement agencies in Pennsylvania, approximately 300 agencies have enrolled in the program and approximately 117 agencies are accredited,” the Department said.

This prestigious program ensures that police departments participate in a system to evaluate policies so that the department is following a best practices approach in law enforcement. We continue to strive to provide excellent police services with a high level of professionalism to our residents, businesses, and visitors in Springfield Township.
