Skating Rinks – Open Again

Abington Township has re-opened its ice skating rinks.

“As always we ask that you understand conditions can change quickly,” a statement from Abington Township detailed.  “If you see exposed water please do not use the rinks. The Parks Department provide hockey nets when the conditions are deemed safe and removes them when conditions become unusable.”

“Please remember that use of the rinks is ‘at your own risk’,” the statement continued.  “We will do everything to keep the surface clear and smooth.  Do not throw debris on the ice as this makes it hard for our crew to clear the surface.  Be careful, be safe, and have an enjoyable time.”

According to the Abington Township, the ice skating rinks at these parks have lighting:  Crestmont Park, Penbryn Park, Baederwood Park, and Roychester Park.

Official hours, per the Township, are Dawn to 10:00 PM.
