The Cheltenham Township Police Department announced today that abandoned dogs were found in the 2400 block of Shoppers Lane in the Wyncote section of Cheltenham Township on April 15 at approximately 9:30am.
According to the report, officers located two small cages containing six dogs which “appeared malnourished and neglected due to their physical condition”.
Police transported the dogs to the Montgomery County SPCA in Conshohocken.
Cheltenham Township Police Department’s Detectives and Animal Control said they are working with the Montgomery County SPCA’s Humane Society Police Officers to determine who is responsible for the abandonment and neglect of these animals.
