Sherwin-Williams Paint Store and ‘most likely’ Charleys Philly Steaks opening in Ogontz Plaza

According to Cheltenham Township officials, the ongoing construction at Ogontz Plaza between the Aldi grocery store and the new Dunkin’ Donuts should be completed by the end of the year.

The building will become a Sherwin-Williams Paint Store and, most likely, a Charleys Philly Steaks, a takeout eatery/restaurant chain which started in 1986.

Henry Sekawungu, the Township’s Director of Planning and Zoning, noted that the restaurant has gone through the sewer approval process but that their lease is still contingent.

“It’s in the works. Both businesses will be housed in the same building,” Sekawungu said. “That building is going to have two frontal units with two addresses. They’re working on infrastructure and utilities.”

A Charleys Philly Steaks already exists within the Willow Grove Park Mall, and a Sherwin-Williams will open on July 15 in Jenkintown.

The Township said that an exact opening date for either business is unknown at this time. We will have more information as it becomes available. Stay tuned.
