Sex offender with an active warrant exposes himself to local realtor on Zoom, leaves sexually explicit voicemails/texts

A man who identified himself as “Steve Jones” exposed himself to a local realtor while speaking with her on Zoom, NBC10 reported.

The realtor told Upper Dublin police that “Jones” called her on January 20 and said he was looking to move from California to Fort Washington in order to escape the California wildfires.

After exposing himself in the middle of the conversation, the woman ended the call, after which the man reportedly called her more than 70 times, leaving and sending her sexually explicit voicemails and text messages, police said. She finally answered and told him to never call her again.

Investigators determined “Steve Jones” was actually 34-year-old Stetron Cathcart of Los Angeles, California, and a registered sex offender who had an active warrant out of Texas where he is wanted for multiple crimes, including indecent exposure to a child.

If you have any information on Cathcart’s whereabouts or were victimized by him, contact the Upper Dublin Township Police Department.
