Several Abington, La Salle, Germantown Academy, Abington Friends, Cheltenham, Upper Moreland, and Jenkintown High School players were named to The Reporter/Times Herald/Montgomery Media 2022 Boys Soccer All-Area Teams.

Abington, the Suburban One League’s Liberty Division 2022 champion, saw seniors Liam Hartman and Drew Paxson earn First Team honors.

Paxson was an All-SOL Liberty First Team pick for a second straight year, and Hartman, the SOL Liberty MVP, was also named to the United Soccer Coaches Region II (East) All-America and PSAC all-state teams after finishing with 26 goals and 11 assists.

La Salle senior Seth Michalak was also named to the PSAC All-State teams. Germantown Academy senior Tyler Weiss was Inter-Ac League MVP as the Patriots tied for second in the league and made the PAISAA quarterfinals.

Germantown Academy senior Eli Torrey was named to the All-Area Second Team.

Honorable mentions included Abington’s Braedan Brownholtz, Kevin Kretschman, Jose Martinez, and Daniel Oliveira; Abington Friends’ MJ Kieran; Cheltenham’s Cameron Rhoades; Germantown Academy’s Jake Kafrissen, Colin Leon, Jack Strauss, and Nicholas Venziale; Jenkintown’s Tommy Siguenza and Shawn Spoerl; La Salle’s Nick Colletti, Aidan Jaggers, and Dylan Marco; and Upper Moreland’s Max Gerlach and Mike Scollon.
