Several Cheltenham and Abington track & field performers took first at Jack Armstrong Invitational at Abington HS

Several student-athletes from Abington High School and Cheltenham High School had winning performances at the 13th Annual Jack Armstrong Track & Field Invitational on Friday April 21 at Abington’s 8-lane Schwartzman Stadium.

The meet featured open events and relays in two different categories, Novice and Varsity, for boys and girls.

Cheltenham’s Josh Herard won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.84, a personal record. Adam Rodgers won the 110 hurdles with a 15.28 time. Jordan Sewell won the 200 dash with a 22.27.

Cheltenham also won the 4×100 relay with a time of 43.13. Anthony Torres won the long jump with a 20-6.5.

For Abington, Jamir McClinton won the 100 with an 11.22 time and Luke Coleman was the 400 with a 49.03.

Abington’s 4×400 and 4×800 relays were also winners for the Ghosts.

Abington hosted their Senior Night during the event.
