SEPTA’s weekend incidents: Man fatally electrocuted after falling onto tracks, innocent bystander shot, man attacked with hatchet

A man fell onto SEPTA train tracks at the Broad Street station which caused detours for several passengers early Monday morning, FOX29 reported.

Officials say the incident occurred around 2:30am. He died after being electrocuted by the third rail, according to authorities.

Details, including his age and identity, have yet to be released.

In related news, police say a potential innocent bystander was shot twice after a disturbance Saturday night, and a man was attacked in the head with a hatchet Sunday.
